Pikes Peak Trails Feb 25

Next trip will be doing some snow bashing around the Gold camp Rd Area..(south of Pikes peak)

Meeting location will be at the Safeway on S. Nevada (hwy 115) and Cheyanne Rd

Meet at 8:30 Leave at 9:00

The plan is to go up and explore to see how far up we can get on the trails

Here is a photo done with Google Earth..

BTW.. Google earth is one of the coolest programs ive ever played with, and its FREE!!
its a little Bandwidth and Graphics intensive, but it overlays Topo with Satilite Images, and also GIS Data.. has Layers for 3d buildings and all kinds of cool stuff.. only Issue as of now is that the Rural Areas are mostly Low Resolution, but as you can see in the photo some of the area for this trip is high res.. I marked some trail points aswell!!

How was the Trip Guys, I got out of class at 12, and made it up their about 2:00 Didint see anyone. Myself and a Freind Cruised up Frostys park Rd, and then Decided to Go Down Eagle Rock. Snow Was not Bad! Ran into a Dude in a Jeep who Just got back from Iraq.. All and all it was a fun day.. on the way home i ran into some freinds that where Target Shooting off the side of the road, so i got to get some Agression out! Fun times.. Pictures to come!

Here is a Great display of how my truck is lacking in a couple of ways..

#1 my High Crawl Ratio means i have to burn the clutch and Spin the tires, Which pulls all the weight off the front Right of the tuck

#2 is pretty obvious, Front Locker is needed.

This is the last trip with this Tranny/t-case so im glad to see some Visual evidence of why i am spending soo much on her..

My stoke 55 is not even close to your 40's capabillities.

I should be getting a new set of tires and rims in a week

I am running very old bald swammpers with stock rims

Sounds cool though

shubar is a great trail for your truck, its an EZ one.. we may have some snow, but based i doubt it..

Sorry I couldnt make it guys. Had to pick up some more cruiser parts. Might have a frame, cowel and title for miniesrule. For his hybrid build up. If he is still going to do it.
