Anybody from the Springs going to the 40's only run this Saturday (26th)?

Hi guys,
Any of you going to the FJ40's only run this Saturday (26th Sep)?

I'm a new FJ40 owner and have been trying to get in contact with the
club here in Colorado Springs (I would like to join). Hopefully now that the site is back up and my FJ is running well, I will get to see some members at the next meeting. Thanks.

Hi,

I'm David Molter, the President of the Colorado Land Cruisers. Welcome to our website. If you have looked around, you can see that we have regular meetings and regular activities. Please check out the club web page at Colorado Land Cruisers . Please come to our regular scheduled meeting on October 20th, 7pm at Liberty Toyota (upstairs)(SE of Woonmen and Austin Bluffs). If you have any friends that have a Toyota 4WD bring them along also.

Hope to see you there.

David M

I originally posted this thread, I went and it was great fun. I believe we had up to 17 FJ40's an impressive sight on the trail. We even got some chains out to get to the top of Wise Mt. Here is the link for the trip report. I posted some pics on the 2 & 3 pages I think.

Rui, did Ken Romer get in touch with you via pm on the Rising Sun Site? Ken is putting together a calendar and wanted to check with you about using a couple of pictures you took on the 40s Only Run. How's the 40 idling?

Ricardo,
Yes Ken did get with me, I sent him a few e-mails with Zipped up files of the photos, I sent him just about everything I snapped. Should have some good stuff in there. How are you guys doing? I'm in the process of converting my FJ40 to Power steering with the Mini Truck/4runner steering box and saginaw pump. I also picked up a Warn 8274 winch for it and will be restoring it soon...The run with you guys made me realize Power Steering was a need not a want. I need the easy ...Cheers.

We all seem to be doing well. If you need some help with the power steering conversion, let me know. I did the mini-truck conversion on my earlier this year. Yours should be much easier as you are starting with a later model truck. It seems like there is no shortage of projects when you have a 40, the winch will be very cool when it is done. The 8274 just looks at home on the front of a 40.
