Blanca trip

So it sounds like a trip is being planned to run Hackett on August 9th and the Rising Sun Ralley is on August 8th so does that mean that we should move the Blanca trip to August 15th?

8/8-9Mt. Blanca Campout
5:30/6:00 Fri Night @ South 7:00/7:30 Sat @ South
Chuck W.
Mt. Blanca is a Scenic and challenging trail in the south part of the state. Recent changes have made some of the harder obstacles less dangerous. Campout Friday night near the Trail head

Chuck, did you get your wiring fixed?

I will most likely not be going to Blanca this year, I still don't like the way my 4runner leans so hard on the downhill sections--and a rollover on Blanca could spell death from what I hear. I am now considering that my front springs may be too soft. I guess I will know after the rear suspension is re-arranged. I might just have to limit a bunch of my front up-travel.

anyway, It already sounds like there will only be three on this trip, If you are going, you better get your vote in as to what day you wish to go.

I second that motion.

I am hoping to get a BUNCH of stuff together to take to the Rally, along with a couple of Cruisers. (Anyone have any extra trailer space?)

Then the weekend of the 15-16th is the Pikes Peak Marathon and Ascent, and my body will be punished accordingly.

Wiring is fixed.

Still looking for some smoke to put back in, that's the hard part

I drove it to Woodland Park and back with no problems.

Ask and ye shall receive......great find Eric!

This smoke is specifically for classic British cars but it sounds like I should be able make an adapter to allow me find the troubled spot in my Japanese/Colonial (Detroit) automobile if it returns.

Magic Smoke

yup, once the magic smoke escapes its really hard to get it back in. I would say though, that if anyone could do it, it'd be the Brits - nothing like experience!

Chuck, never heard what caused your brakes to go out in the 21 road run. Easy fix?

The rear drums were packed with mud, the shoes had about 20% remaining so I decided it was time to just replace the pads and shoes. I installed a new hardware kit and a missing spring on the ebrake. When I took the calipers off the front the seals were shot so I installed new calipers. After all that the front brakes would not bleed so I ended up installing a new master cylinder.

The short story for that is the braking system was due for some work and the muddy run up 21 road pushed the brake system over the edge.

I move that we move the Blanca trip to the 22nd, my dog seconds it, and all my family says yes.
It's unanimous!

Can the webmaster please change the Mt. Blanca trip details in the calendar to the weekend of the 22nd so that no one mistakenly shows up this weekend. Thanks.
