Rising Sun Rally - August 8
On behalf or Rising Sun, I'd like to invite our friends from the south to join us at the Rising Sun Rally on August 8. We've enjoyed your participation over the last few years and are looking forward to seeing you again this year.
For those that can work it into the schedule, we have a couple of runs scheduled for the day after the Rally. Jeff Zepp will be leading a run up Bill Moore and Dan Reinmuth is leading a run on Chinamans Gulch. Just click on the links for more details.
It's just a couple of weeks out, hope to see you all there!!!

What/where is the Rising Sun Rally, and how do I get involved?

I have the table, the shade tent and the banner. I was planning on setting up next to the Rising Sun booth.
For anyone not familiar with the Rally here is a link.
Rising Sun Toyota 4x4 Club
There is a swap meet and some manufacturers present.
THis year it looks as if there will be some demos to watch.
We need volunteers to man the CLC booth. It soesn't mean that you are stuck there all day.
Thanks
David M

What bonehead planned the Blanca trip on the same weekend as the Rising sun rally??????
Oh yeah-- that was me............Do we need to re-schedule the Blanca trip to the weekend after? I personally will not make the Rising sun rally, but maybe some would like to go to both? Something to think about.

Carlos,
Welcome! Do you have some sliders?
Tell us what other trails you have ran in Colorado and we can help you compare them to Blanca.
We took a Jeep Rubicon with 31's last year but he did get a little body damage on the rocker panel.
Chuck

Middle St. Vrain 3-5 rating with a rock crawling rating of 2.
Coney Flats 5-6 rating with a rock crawling rating of 3.
Rollins Pass 1-2 rating with a rock crawling rating of 1.
Yankee Hill rating of 2-3 with a rock crawling rating of 2.
Bald Mountian rating of 4-5 with a rock crawling rating 3.
Cascade Creek rating of 4-5 with a rock crawling rating of 3.
Blanca Peak rating of 7-8 with a rock crawling rating of 5.
I am not one to discourage anyone for running any tail they want to but I would say running Blanca from the trails you listed is skipping a couple of steps in trail ratings.
Someone feel free to add commets but I would say running Blanca with a rig with less than 35's, 33's for shorter wheel based rigs such as FJ40's, and body armor will likely come back with some body damage. Rock sliders and skid plates are highly recommended body armor items.

We were going to take several Cruisers up to try to sell, but will just make flyers for them probably.
Gonna take an H55F and H151 tranny up.
I will be able to man the booth for a while.
Are we caravaning up or no?

I'll be there for a while. I'll have my daughter with me so I don't know how long I will stay.
I'd be interested in caravaning.

I was planning on putting up the booth and being the CLC presence to let people know where we were.
I need to bow out to do a Cub Scout camping trip. I didn't think that the camping trip was going to happen.
I have the club banner that I will get to Trevor. Andy has the cards to pass out to interested parties.
Good luck on the Rally.

We should just put all the booths together, right next to each other so we can all make sure no future customer is left out!
