The brows were furrowed and the thoughts were flying at the premeeting to the meeting on Tuesday. In the end a calendar for the year was worked out and passed during the regular meeting.

As the year goes on there will be additions or modifications, We also need for people to step forward as trip leaders for each trip.

I've updated the website with the 2009 calender of events. I'll add Chuck W. to the lines he's volunteered for, but that will leave a bunch more to fill in. Change a "TBD" to "Your Name" and become famous! Seriously, let me know of changes or corrections and I'll (or Trevor) will crank them in.

And since I'm in Western Colorado, I'm really curious if any one would like to also do Bangs Canyon while over here for the 21 Road run in May. Something to think about.

I have updated the calendar with names of trip leaders from those that volunteered, to names that were logical for the trail. OK, logical to me. If anyone has a problem, let me know so we can get an alternate volunteer.

I remember well when the club was just starting, about the only requirement to be a trip leader was if you knew where the trail was and how to find it. That was my 1st introduction to leading a trip. It was a sort of a question of who was "it", and I walked up and was suddenly "it". And if you know what a pigsicle is, you can be the leader for the barbeque trip in June. Hafta wrestle that one away from David M., El Presidente.

I did assign myself to lead the 21 Road/Bangs Canyon run. (Bangs Canyon if there is interest and time - I do need to know if there is any interest in this) Grand Junction now has a new TLCA club, Bookcliff Cruisers and we may get them to go along with us on our May 23/24 run.
