4runner project

I guess it's kind of a project / build up.

It is finally no longer 100% stock

Gonna start small, real small.

As I bought it last fall

1st thing I did was put in a rebuilt motor

Then I started parting out my wagon to pay taxes, and to pay for some upgrades to the 4runner.

First I got a set of 31 x 10.5 Goodyear ATS for Free. Tires are almost brand new.

I paid $50 for a set of SR5 wheels. Right now I have my original set of stock 235/75/R15 street tires sitting in the garage. I knew that the I would notice the difference with the 31's, so I figured i'd keep the stockers on hand for every day driving.

I also picked up a set of warn locking hubs for cheap. I would and probably eventually go withe aisan hubs, but i got these cheap so I'm running them. Way mo' better than the stock auto locking junk hubs.

The rear springs were sagging, so I picked up a set of stock Jeep TJ coil springs. I trimmed the fronts down a little and stuck them between the rear springs and frame. This lifted the rear up about 2.5" from where it was.

As it sits today

I have a set of sliders and a front winch plate/bumper base to start working on

I may pick up a set of 4.88's. The 22re is not really happy with the 31's and stock 4.10's.

Either way I'm gonna buy a lock right and stick it in the rear.

Other plans are a high clearance transfer case mount / skidplate from budbuilt, a idler arm brace from downey, probably some 4.7 transfer case gears.

What do you have?

You still want that rear bumper off my wagon?

I know, I know. I'm gonna try to hit the junkyard again this weekend.

TJ coils are doing their job. It rides about the same as before, if not nicer.

The light bar is for the front bumper, it is bent to go around a winch. It's made out of 1 1/2 dom and has to be welded on. Let me know if you want it.
