Tree cutting

So is a little stock 4runner on street tires with chains on all 4 wheels going to be of any benefit? Am I just going to get stuck?

Mark, its like Isotel said, depends on how much snow we get. But, you've gotta a believe that with all 4 chained, you will make a formidable combination, well able assist just about any of our pavement oriented bretheren or (sisteren). Now it could get interesting if a big 1 ton crew cab, 2WD or 4WD gets ascew of the road, then it will take a several more to assist in that situation. I hear a red FJ40 in past years pulled one of these out last year or so...

Saw you on the Metberry trail

Hi guys, I was on my way up Metberry when the Colorado Landcruisers were on their way down. I was in the brown FJ60. I wanted to attend the meeting to see about joining the club but I had family arriving from Minnesota that night so I couldn't make it. Anyway, I still would like to join the Colorado Landcruiser club so what would be a good method to meet? By the way I drove from West creek to Divide on FR 366 and FR 364 with no problems on Saturday.

We should have a group meeting at the Western Gas Station Just east of Woodland Park December 1,2, 8, 9, 15, 16 by 8:30 and leaving by 9. I will be up there on the 1st and 15th. We would be happy to have you along to help.

I was driving the stock 4-runner, and am a fellow Minnesotan. Uff dah.

I'll be at the Western Gas station at 8:30 on Dec 1. I will have to drop the kids off in Woodland Park at 9:00am for Christmas program practice but will be available some work or play after that.

So since you are from Minnesota I assume you know Ole and Leana?

Oh ya...they live up in Brainerd.. doncha know

At 9am we will be leaving the Western Gas station and meeting the forest service at the Middle school off of Rampart Range Road in Woodland Park. If you are heading south on HWY24, take a left just after the Mcdonalds. The Middle School is just up this road.

Pretty uneventful today.

1st the weather was so warm that I was hot wearing a Jacket. Then we met with Pete and the forest service guys and it got cold and started snowing, then cleared up and got warm. Then by the time I was on my way home through Woodland Park you could barely see anything.

There wasn't anybody getting stuck anywhere so we just played around. The Forest service guy (can't remember his name) pointed out 300U and 300V as something that would interest us. 300V ended up being quite exciting for some of us. We spent a lot of the day on those 2 roads alone. Thanks to everyones hard work and good spotting helping me get out of there in 1 piece.

Someone's got pics...

Another run at..

Well I won't be able to get out much on Saturday the 8th. Too many irons in the fire! I would like to tag along on Sunday if anyone is going to be out then. I should have an Aussie locker in the rear by then and would like to give it a test.
