The one on CO And 31st is a 2nd gen.

Yup, I saw that ad, but we have decided it's not worth going into debt for. So now we are back to a 1st gen.

I thought that the 2nd gen was the start of the 4 doors and it came with the 3.0 V6 and had the IFS.

Yes the 2nd generation was the start of the 4 door. Technically the 3.0 was an option, but it is pretty hard to find one without it. The 22RE was available, but are pretty rare.

I found It!!!

This ad:
http://cosprings.craigslist.org/car/435761321.html

I could not be happier. I paid $1000.

I was just starting to think that I was barking up the wrong tree, and was time to consider something else. I wasn't very happy with anything I had looked at. If I could imagine exactly what I wanted, this is it. The color is even right :thumb:

1986 SR5
3 rust spots, 2 on the passenger rear fender, one on the drivers rear corner. None of them are perforated. The underside is beautiful.

It has every option that I could even conceive.
Air conditioning, cruise control, sunroof, maplights, rear heat, 5 speed, etc.

Interior is in great shape. No rips or tears. A few stains. Luckily I have a friend who is a whiz when it comes to detailing interiors, and he claims he can make it look like new. Good tires too.

Rear bumper is bent. Not too worried about that. Missing the front marker lights and a taillight lens. Has a goofy tube bumper that I'm gonna get rid of. Dash is cracked, I'll deal with that.

Gonna start shopping for a motor tomorrow. Just gonna look for a stock motor. Nothing fancy. I'm gonna pull the valve cover tomorrow and see what the cylinder head looks like.

The one pic I forgot, was the one of it sitting in my garage
