Sounds cool - FWIW I did Hayden Pass two weekends ago. Very nice. There were ALOT of blowdowns up there that somebody did alot of work to clear.

cool, Im wondering if Mt antero is a viable trail for us to run? from the sound of it, its mostly a Pucker factor of switch backs and shelf road!

Id like to Run Iron Chest one of the days in BV

Ive run Tin Cup (one of my first ever 4x4 trails) in a stock Pathgrinder back in the 90's, Realy Easy Trail, but good sight seeing..

How far is too far to drive from BV for a Day trip? id like to keep it under 45 min to the trail head!

(1) Carnage BV
(2) Chinaman's Gultch

(3) Iron Chest

Those three are by far the best trails in the area IMHO...

The first two are right next to each other so their perfect!

On a side note I've only walked Carnage BV, but I'm ready to drive it.

It's really not that scary or hard till the last obstacle at the very top. Most people turn around before they get there. Good veiws if you're into that.

Sunday, 10:00am = Iron Chest
Monday, 10:00am = Carnage BV

Sound like something we can plan on?

Ok at the Meeting we got together the Details

-Sat- Easier Run - Miners loop or similar - Tin Cup area..
Western @ 7:00 am Leave at 7:30
or Jonson's village Gun smoke Truck Stop @ 9:00 Leave for the Trail at 9:30 for those Camping on Friday Night..

We Decided we needed an easier/more scenic run, We have some options to run the Miners loop, or some of the other trails in the area. This run is suitable for any stock 4x4. should be a fun day! bring your cameras and warm clothes/Rain gear

-Sun- Harder Run - Iron Chest 8:30 Leave @ 9:00 from the Trail Head

This Trail is a bit harder - the first section is a boulder field 33" tires and a locker on this one, the rest of the trail is easier, with a hike to the top of the Mountain at the end!

-Mon- Is still open, Many people at the meeting wanted to head home on Sunday night, but i know Tim wanted to Run Carnage BV.. Maybe other interested people could run Chinaman's!

Camping will be @ the Trail Head to Chinaman's, Once you Cross the field and mud pits take a left like your heading to on china mans, Before it Turns right and heads up the hill we will be camping up in that wash area!

I am planning on going Sat and Sun, and I would REALLY like to do BV. I have a 4 day weekend, who is up for Indy on Friday?

BUT, Monday is most def out as I am running a marathon (yes, 26.2 miles!, and no, not with a Cruiser!) on Monday.

Any of the above mentioned plans sound great, I just hope I can FINALLY make it to to a club run!

Don't know if I'll be able to make this one. I broke my frame in half on Wheeler Lake the other weekend. I'm going to try and get it fixed before this trip. I'll let you know.

I have a good friend in from out of town that would love to go wheeling with us on Sunday but my 4Runner only has two seats(wife+me). Would anyone that has an extra seat mind taking on a passenger? He's a good guy and a Toyota fanatic. Problem is his Toy is in Arkansas.
