Best Place to get tires???
Hey guys I am in need of some new tires. Mud terrains preferably. What is the best place around here to get tires? Or is there a place online you guys use?

I've been very happy with the service at the Discount Tire on Powers & Briargate.
I've used Discount Tire (both here and in Southern California) for a bunch of years. Do your homework to locate the tire & size you want. Search the internet, local papers (ads), and retailer websites (for specials). Discount has always honored the best price I could show them. When I bought the BFG/AT's for my LX450, the best price I found was an internet special from Discount's website. The guy at the store didn't know about it, but honored it once he saw it. __________________ 1997 LX450, 132K, Lockers, LEDs, Nak-o-matic mic holder, CDL w/ Pin 7, 285/75R16 BFG AT, Tool Sleeve, Slee armor, Slee speedo gear, OME 2.5" Heavy, Prophylactic HG, Line-X in place of LX trim KD0CXL "You don't get to vote on the way it is... you already did!" Yup! They replaced my two day old Geolander after I sliced it up on Chinaman Gulch. The $25 for the warranty is a lot cheaper than $200+ for a new tire.

I had OK price service at Discount tire at Academy and Platte. They ordered a set of Pirelli Scorpions for me It ended up the same price as mail order plus shipping. The first issue that I had with them was when I tried to rotate tires I found that they had cross threaded 5 wheel lugs. They finally paid for a shop to replace them. THe shop wouldn't buy and put Toyota lug nuts on so I ended up with regular auto parts store lug nuts. Some time later I went through a construction site and picked up a load of nails in the tires. When Discount had my truck on the rack with all of the tires off, fixing nail holes. They told me company policy was no more than 3 plugs per tire. The nail count per tire was RF 5, LF 3, RR 2, LR 4. They weren't going to let me drive out of there without a new set of tires. I had them plug 3 per tire and fill the rest with nails. I plugged them myself at home.
Bottom line, I felt their pricees were good, but their personal service was lacking. I bought my present set at 4 Wheel Parts. They replaced a sliced side wall with no questions.
