Question Quicken Online - Secure?

I set up my banks and credit cards on Quicken Online last night, nice. I like that all my finances are quickly visible in one place. I haven't explored the capabilities yet, so far it's just showing me my current status.

This seems at least as secure as my online banking when I log into each institution individually. I don't see much useful info a hacker could get if they logged into my Quicken site, although I might get some sympathy. After initially plugging in the requested data for each institution, there doesn't seem to be any way to access even account or credit card numbers, much less passwords. I don't see any way to get money out of my accounts to pay bills, so I don't think this could be used to get into my accounts.

It's nice to be able to log in and see every transaction real-time, even paypal, so I'll know quickly if someone does find a way to rip me off. If I can access this from my cellphone that'll rock, we'll see.

I switched to the new Quicken when I recently upgraded my home computer. I suppose the site is secure and I have entered the acct. info for my Amex card, mainly for statement reconciliation. It's much easier to reconcile electronically, than manually entering the transactions. I really don't want too much extraneous acct. info running through my computer and Quicken's. Call me paranoid, but Quicken doesn't need to know about all the accounts, imo.

I do feel a little uncomfortable with giving Quicken too much data though. Have you noticed the ability to back up your files through Quicken? I don't like that feature at all and have managed to back up my data for the past 10 years or so without Quicken's help.

All in all, the new Quicken is certainly more improved than my Quicken 2000, but I'm just a little leary on some of the new "benefits".
