Nah, I don't feel weak.
That looks makes me smile when I see it, too. Funny, how we associate people with their avatars, ain't it?

I still have my moments where I feel like crap and want one. I am fine for the most part as long as I have sunflower seeds, gum or toothpicks... something to keep my mind off of the dip with.

My Seed habit is more expensive than my Copenhagen habit

4 weeks tobacco free!!!!!!!

Still eating gum and Sunflower seeds like there is no tomorrow... but I think it is just my OCD.

I passed my first big test last Saturday..... my girlfriend's lil bro's 21st birthday party. It was my first exposure to drinking around dippers/smokers and I made it through without caving in.

Congrats on not caving, I think you're gonna make it!

I'm almost 48 hours smoke-free... hasn't been too bad so far, just a few strong cravings here and there.

24 more hours and the nicotene will be out of my system.

True. I'm spending about $2 a day on seeds and gum. So it's already coming down a little.... started buying in bulk at Target instead of at the gas station... If I had a Costco or Sam's card, I imagine that I could cut expenses further.

Anyway, it is definitely cheaper than eventually having a rib bone inserted where my jaw used to be.

chew free

First and foremost congrats. I am tobacco free since this thread
http://forum.ih8mud.com/chit-chat-section/87095-tobacco-free.html

I am also not "feeming" for one. Now I have or was chewing for 21 years or maybe a little more. I got *******tired of saying ,"Where is my chew can.?"

Or , no matter what you do, i.e. take out the garbage, or whatever.
BUT YOU STILL COULD NOT DO IT W/O A CHEW , COULD YOU?
go to the store, need a chew.............................................. .................................................. .....

That has been the weirdest thing... all the activities that I associate dipping with... driving being the main one.

I posted on your thread talking about hopefully having the sack to join you one day... it only took 2 months and I did.

cheers

stick with it. I also ran to the dr. because i was about to explode, or so it seemed.

turns out my b.p. was abnormally high as the nicotine was trying to take me back to the dark side. The dr. told me that nicotine is worse than heroine when it comes to quitting.

Plus if you are married/kids etc., they will start to really like you more, and actually give you a kiss w/o complaining about your ass breath. I think the payoffs for quitting are outstanding.

The gum candy thing will subside. I also found myself drinking alot of water for some reason. But don't get me wrong, I still hanker for one, but I know it would "suck me back in" and then I would be done.....

You will be completely over it very soon. Your gum flesh will regenerate, and you will rub you front lip with your tongue reminicsing of days of ol

Stick with it
Scott

Awesome dude. Stick the course .. you don't want all those nasty cancers you'll get from that shit!!

I haven't touched my pipe in over a few weeks. Reflux is pretty much non-existant now again.

Good luck!

TY

Just to give you warning, the nicotine will be out, but the cravings will not. It is hard, but it will take much longer for the cravings to start to taper off. It has been 5 months for me, it is better, but I still get them. I would say it wasn't until month 3 that I stopped climbing the walls. I just remind myself when I want one, that I don't ever want my 2 year old to see me as a smoker.

Keep up the good work, I too put the Cope down on June 4th this year, and quit cold turkey. Just had enough of the crap. Got tired of all the spit bottles all over stankin'.
I still get a craving here and there...like now on the comp. lol
It gets better every day, and the cravings are less and less.

Its all in your head, willpower. Just stay off it.
But you have to admit, those first 2 days are a trip. I had dizzy spells and cold sweats one minute, and wanted to kill everything in my path the next lol.

Same to you

39 days without any tobacco....

Day 1 without sunflower seeds. I've had a massive headache for about the last week, I think it is tied to the exponential increase in my sodium intake with the eating of seeds all day long. No seeds today and no signs of the headache. Only had 6 pieces of gum too... (I chew gum 2 at a time), so I am making progress towards getting rid of my crutches too.

I've been jonesing lately. Seems like stress is the root of it, been remodeling the house. Some days are easy and some days are brutal...
