This guy was in cahoots with the first one in knocking Toyota's switch to IFS. While talking to Dan one day, he even went so far as to say this: "And as if birfields are not the best invention in the world, now there's aftermarket versions that have special alloys and heat treatments to make them stronger than stock! Toyota parts are good, but these unbreakable pieces are even better!" At this Dan could no longer take it, and solemnly vowed that he would show that that argument would not hold water. After thinking about it for a few weeks, Dan decided on the following punishment: a better idea:
Not only would the argument not hold water, it wouldn't hold TEQUILA!

This is such a classic thread....

It's true though.
I actually need parts and even though I'm only 45 minutes from American, I'm waiting for Dan to get back. As much as I like them, I kind of doubt that I'll be able to get belts for my faux-lux without the shaman's help. (well, I could get the P/Ns myself, but why?)
I know I could go to NAPA and get some that would work, but that would be lame (and bring the total of non-Toyota parts on the faux-lux to 6. Not acceptable, obviously.

He always seems to be busy when I'm in there. I think we hold up the process chatting when I'm getting parts. I figured that since I never see him using the computers that he must not be allowed to touch them or something. The world behind the parts counter I imagine is filled with mystery and wonder.
I'll send him a pm to see if he can't do some looking...

It's all an illusion- if beno appears to be busy- no one will bother him. Next time- walk right up to him when he appears busy and just interrupt him....he likes that.
