While in Lake Powell, Dan and his family decided to checkout the local car show. The Fords were out front while the Toyota's were out back. Dan asked how come the Toyotas are hidden behind the Fords, the sponser said, " Fords are hot and smoke anything Toyota has." Dan walked away mumbling. Mrs. Cdan was heard saying, " Dan, it's not worth it, calm down. No Dan!."

Later that afternoon this Ford exec is wondering what happened to their new red Ford

Ahhh, nothing like a nice dinner after a long day on the Lake. The crusierdan family has a favorite Chinese restaurant they go to when there. It's the highlight for the kids. Half way through his mooo shooo pork, Dan hears the person at the next table talking about buy American and how crappy the japanese cars are. Dan closes his eyes and mumbles something and goes back to attack his moo shoo.

Mean while the buy American guy opens his fortune cookie

The cruiserdan family likes breakfast buffets. This morning before hitting the day waterskining the decided to go ashore and try the Country Inn all you can eat Buffett. As Dan was getting his sausage this large woman yelled at him, " get out of my way baldie, that's my sausage." An hour later she was checked into the mental ward

While the cruiserdan family was sleeping comfortably on their house boat, a burglar was attempting to break into their home, He met Dan's special trained cat. Dan being a simple man, named this cat "Balls". Balls was pissed he did not get to go on vacation and the burglar was rescued by the Police screaming and hiding in the bathroom.

Don't know if you know this but Dan and his wife have two boys. Cute kids and I got to know both of them over the last few Cruise Moabs. I was given this picture showing one of his most meorable father-son moments:

Dan: Don't look at the paper in front of you, lets see if you remember. Come on

Son: ummmm

Dan: Come on Benjiman, you know. You got the contact part number and the plunger part number, what is the copper post part number for a 94 2KW Starter contact set?

son: ummmmmm

Dan: Come on now, you can't have a sip of Dad's beer until you complete the shipset.

Dan loves to go to Lake Powell because he has a love of boating. This started at a yound age when his Dad use to let him Pilot his Barge. This is also where Dan learned of his Shaman powers. Here Dan wasn't paying attention and almost destroyed his Dads Barge. Dan quickly closed his eyes, chanted while holding on the the wheel for dear life.

Can you think of another explanation?

Many of you have heard about feeding Dan's dogs. Here they are and they are really happy about all the steak we have bought them. The one on the right is real happy because he drank Dan's beer when he wasn't looking. This dogs are a lot of fun and tend to get into mischief. In fact, Dane has forgotten their real names and usually says, "Jesus Christ, Damn it come here." The one on the left only answers to "Damn it", the other is a little smarter and Jesus Christ or "Where is my Beer" usually works with him.

Note the water sking harnesses Dan has made for them.

Now you know why Balls the cat is unhappy he has to stay at home

Dan considers himself a very creative fellow. He comes up with stuff all the time that amazes even himself. For a while, Dan left the parts business and took a job in advertising. After a few weeks, it was decided by all parties for Dan to go back to the parts business. Here are a few samples of his work, maybe you have seen some of them.

Now you might think that everyone needs to consider the Shaman’s power and reach. Everyone except for Mrs. Cdan. She is the only who Cdan is concerned about her reach. I have had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Cdan on several occasions. She is a remarkable woman. I asked her how she is able to avoid Cdan’s shawman powers.

Mrs Cdan: Well, you have been married a long time.
Me: Yeah, 20 years.
Mrs. Cdan: What is the one thing that wives can do that makes their husbands powerless.
Me: I can’t say that in front of a Lady
Mrs. Cdan; No not that. I said Powerless, not frustrated!
Me: ummmm
Mrs. Cdan: What happens when your wife gives you the LOOK.
Me: People around me duck for cover.
Me: The kids stop bitching and put on their cute face
Me: And I start muttering, Yes Dear, I’m sorry dear even when I don’t know what I did!
Mrs. Cdan : Exactly! Dan can come in all cocky and one look and he is studying his shoes.
Mrs. Cdan : He isn’t the only one with powers either.
Me: Ohh?
Mrs Cdan: Sometimes he tries to pull a fast one and has some of his toys shipped to the Toyota Dock. He is always surprised when I show up while he is unwrapping the obvious non-Toyota part. Now that’s when he gets to be frustrated!

I better not post anymore of these true cruiserdan stories or he might get crankier. Don't know if all of your Headgaskets could take it

Just discovered this thread, but I'm safe for the time being as I've spent $600 with Dan on parts in my first month of ownership.

I'm coming late into this, but I have a couple pictures that beg SOME sort of explanation...

This guy told Cruiserdan that Toyota made a mistake by introducing IFS into their 4-wheel drive vehicles. "Solid Front Axles rule the 3rd world," he said, "because the failure rate is second to none! While IFS may break in a parking lot, it takes a lot of work to break a REAL front axle!"

...And then, without warning, a couple of months later, it happened. BANG!

...in a dirt parking lot. Not kidding (No, really, true story (at least WHERE it broke is true))
