Break out the hater-aid!

Does everyone look at your FJ and give you dirty looks because something inside of them says that they need to look again and they don't want to give anyone props , but they look anyways. Then they have to look mean because they either don't want give in or they're looking against their will?

Someone has to have this happen to them.

Every now and then someone walks up and says nice ride. Thanks to those people as I'm a happy Cruiser owner and not angry that others have nice vehicles.

I have people everyday asking me what is that and saying I've never seen one of those and saying how cool it looks. I' m sure some people might not like it but they don't have to drive it.

Same here. No one knows what it is. People ask me who makes it? mostly though everyone seems to like it or love it. I have a freind who thought i was stupid for ordering it but now that he has seen it in person and seen the stuff ive done he really likes it.

I don't mean to be rude or anything but I think a lot of people look down on seeing another off road vehicle with 20"s. :(

People with hummers lowered and with "dub's" has made many people's gag reflex come into full effect.

Seeing it happen with the FJ is just as bad.

One of my friends drove mine to a Chevrolet dealership to talk to a salesman. While he was there, 5 people stopped and wanted to know what it was and if Chevrolet made it.

I know it is a Toyota, but it is kind of cool to have something that most people have never seen and don't know who makes it. I guess it is the same as when I would get comments about my FJ 40. Of course then, it was mostly "is that a heep?", with this vehicle, I have not had anyone ask if it is a heep yet.

I have had no negative comments from people who have approached me about it, only positives.

That's because people who approach you likes the Fj, and are compelled to satisfied their curiousity..(which is a good thing) those who don't like it iether looks at it once and don't think nothing of it, or look at it in discuss and say to themselves what the hell is that?..Like when I look at the H3 and say to myself the Fj is better..

huh i think it looks like a honda element. i think the looks you may be expierencing have less to do with what it is, as what it isnt. it isnt the same ol box that the SUV has become in such familiar fashion. the "dirty" looks you get are prolly more of the same looks folks got in such vehicles as, the element, the SSR and HHR, the magnum and even the H2. when they were still new and the "yuppies" if you will were climbing over each other to be the first in the neighborhood with one, it was a new thing to most folks as it was driving down the road.
for me personally i am turned off by the auto manufactures, all of them, going in the direction of cutesy styling and too much dang plastic. i would have really liked to have seen the new FJ looking more like the 40 of old. like the jeep wrangler still looks like the jeep of 50 yrs ago, but is pretty comfy such as it is. maybe i am just nostalgic for a time gone by.

WTF is a kid thinking that makes them think it's okay to stand on the roof of someone's fucking vehicle?! I'd have gotten him down by grabbing his ankles and pulling HARD.

A lot of people look where I live because they haven't ever seen anything like a built 80...oh yeah, and it pisses me off because my wife says land rover (on purpose) when she's mad & my friend's kid calls it a hummer.

I was wondering why all the FJ guys I wave at never wave back and just shoot me dirty looks. Maybe it's the FJ owners who are haters

LOL!!!

I stopped to say Hi to a FJ owner at the post office the other day and commented how much I liked the new FJ and showed him my 40 and said his vehicle was based of mine...He laughed like I was crazy and hopped in his new Bling and drove off...

Got a chuckle out of it...have yet to meet a FJ Cruiser owner that even recognizes my 40 as the same family of vehicle.

They do that when they see a dude driving a FJC because it's like seeing a dude wearing a dress. NTTTAWWI.

To be serious, the FJC is still a novelty, and people are going to look at. Besides, do you really care what people think of what you drive?

A lady that works at my bank bought one and drove it for 45 days... she hated it so much that she returned it to the dealer & they bought it back... the blind spot was the major issue.......
