Spot the Spawner...

Looking through photos from a trip to Roche Lake. Fishing was awesome on chironamids...but one photo has me puzzled. I'd somehow managed to get a shot of two spawners in one photo...should teach me a lesson about posing with a fire chicken.

Thankfully, 99% of the fish looked more like this chunky triploid:

With the majority of the chromers weighing in between 3 to 7 lbs, it sure gave my 4wt a workout. Sheldon, Harry and I experienced some of the best chironamid fishing that we've ever done...great way to start the season.
