| Why the 8 lug bolt pattern?
Are those some sort of "custom" portal axles?

He replaced the factory axles for portal axles. Like the ones on the Unimog.

| Dude...it's easy enough to have one of those for yourself...
step 1: roll an 80 series at highway speed...
step 2: ship it to Ken Hanna and tell him to make yours look like that one.
easy
It looks better now than in those pics.

| Doug,
You forgot steps 3 and 4.
Step 3: Trash it on the trial run.
Step 4: Send it back to Hanna

| I've got one question/suggestion. Why have zip ties to hold the soft brake lines on the front, instead of having a metal bracket to hold them? I couldn't find any pics, but you know the metal brackets in a "P" shape where the straight part has a hole in it for a screw, and the rounded part has a rubber grommet in it and you can secure your cable/wire/whatever with it so that it stays put. I would think with the zip ties and that brake line moving around, it's going to rub and get damaged eventually.
Awesome truck, though!

| A quote from his buildup page .. As you can see, this is a work in progress. I have customized Humm9 portal axles (Ford 9-inchers and armored Humvee axle combo, custom axle housing 1/4" thick) with CTIS (central tyre inflation system), massive disc brakes for fr and rr, trying to fit in 2.5" dia Fox Racing coil-over-shocks (with 16" travel), 37" BFG Krawlers, custom internal rollcage, Safari snorkel, TRD supercharger for the 4.5L gas engine (1FZ-FE mated to stock 4-speed A343F auto tranny), HannaQuality sliders and bumpers, Warn 9.5 XP (front)and 9.5ti (rear) winches, and other secret bits and pieces.
