Colorado Cut-Bows

Fished the Yampa on Monday in Steamboat Springs, CO, and caught some nice rainbows. These fish have some wild cutthroat genes, and are quite strong and quite hungry. I caught the biggest fish, but my brother Kevin (UncleMeldon here on MUD) caught more fish:

Skiing pics and possible movies to come soon...

LOL! No salute intended, there is just a fin in the way.

Yep, this was fly fishing. 5 weight rods, I think 6 pound tippets. All fish were caught on about size 16 nymphs under a small floating indicator. I also threw a big streamer around for a while but didn't get any action.

Doug: We were wearing waders, i.e. waterproof pants.

If you want to see some huge bows fish the tail waters of Stagecoach. Lots of 6-8# fish come out of there. Brad.
