Actually, Fossil come with 11 year warranties. But I will admit it is a fashion watch. Jewelry more than an actual timepiece.
Most all Quartz or Japan movement watches will end up being pretty accurate, be them Timex, Casio, Fossil, Seiko. But the fit and finish can vary greatly.
What I want is a nice Accutron Bulova (vintage 60s) or an old Seamaster. Can pick them up on ebay fairly reasonably. Of course, a Patek Phillipe wouldn't hurt either.
Maybe I'll just spend a little for a high jewel Russian... lke a Piljot.
Right now I have 3 Fossils (1 works flawlessly, one the dial markings keep falling off especially the frame around the date, and one that seems to chew up the leather bands for it), One 15 year old Timex that won't hold a band anyore (still runs), One newer Timex I wear sporting, and a Nice smoked metal and gold Seiko i got as a gift.
I wear my one working fossil the most, as it keeps the other from getting jacked up.
