Smoke and ash at my place, but I'm miles away.

Afraid some friends in Acton might be affected

My buddy was in an e vac area,Tujuga. but he is OK as of yet. He moved his 40 to a safe place . the fires are on the other side of the ridge I am in no danger here.
The Glendale schools will be closed tomorrow and maybe the next do to bad air quality.
In the mornings the smoke seems to be at it's worst. This morning it was a bit strange, Dead calm with a thick smoky haze, Creepy. I get a sore throat after just a few min. Most of the smoke seems to be blowing out to the High desert. as long as the wind stays mellow it should not get to crazy.

I have some friends in the Altadena area that are pretty damn close to the fires. Some folks I know in an area called "The Meadows" (I don't really know the geography very well down there) were evacuated but managed to get important things out of the house and are safe for the moment. News as of this morning was that their house is still okay, but they aren't allowed back in yet.

Good on ya, Monnie.

Just talked to Leadhead in Phelan. If it hits the north side of the range, the wind could take it to his place in a matter of hours.
