agreed. there is 8-10 hours labour in that job for both sides if you do it properly and you have done it before.

as long as the quote holds.
I got some quotes on pressing the lugs into the rotors for my 40 and Midas told me like $25-30 which I thought was a good deal, but then when I went to pick them up, they said the bill was I think $70-80.
Luckily, when I said what they quoted, teh guy that gave me the quote was there and came up and fixed the price to that.
He said he thought it would be easier like old fords or something, but since that's what they quoted they'd give me that price.

because it stays on mud even if the original source crashes. excellent way to store write ups for mods, out of date no longer copyrighted fsm's etc...

that's one of the reasons I try to do my own work, it seems as though a lot of shops do not really have any more clue what they're doing than I do.
I'm sure some do, but the place for example that replaced our thermostat this summer, and then it was still overheating, and before that we had taken it to another shop my parents use for the overheating and they said the timing was off and a vacuum leak was the cause, which I was skeptical of.
Neither of which fixed the problem
And the vacuum leak was a joke, cause when I looked under the hood after getting it back, a hose I knew was not connected but hadn't figured out where it goes was still not connected

It is easy. I used a big wrench and pressed them in by turning the nuts.

the good news is our credit check or the refi came back with scores 10 above and below 2400 (all three scores added to each other)
the bad news is, one of my scores went 10 lower because I got a Neiman Marcus store card in the summer
hey, I was shopping high-end retail (on a 50% off sale, though ) and paid it all off 2 weeks later - how IS the economy supposed to recover

BTW, this mortgage lender (to which our old mortgage was sold last year) is really checking out every nook and cranny
I wonder what that says about the "new age" of borrowing
