Yep. We call that abandonment in the biz. Alot of interdiction here.

BTW, here is the QD suppressor used on the HK416 yesterday at the range. We did four 30-round mag dumps in less than three minutes and the fucker got a little hot. The coating on the can blistered and came off.

5.56/.223 is notoriously difficult to suppress due to its high velocity. And if you try to slow the round down to subsonic, you lose all value that it ever had. The reason for the suppressor is to mask the shooter's location and to make it more comfortable for the shooter. None of us wore any hearing protection while firing this weapon and we were quite comfortable with the noise level. Color me impressed.

You still get the "crack" downrange, but at the shooter's location, all you really get is the usual recoil and a bit of a bark.

A couple of us out here bought these new shirts from a police gear website. They stock all the 511 brand gear and they frequently have great close-out deals. These yellow shirts were on super special and they are pretty cool--they have built-in pocket on both the left and right should to hang the microphone. Also, there is a small deal at the bottom of the shirt's placket from which you can hang the mic if you prefer it there. On the left sleeve, there are two pen pockets too. All in all, very nice shirts for casual duty wear. (we frequently dress in casual clothing for weekends or special duties, like the range, etc.)

You know you've been fully assimilated into TUT when you feel compelled to photograph the petrified mofer you found in the garage.
