ethernet cable to another computer, burn onto CD, email, swap hard drive to another laptop.

In the Badlands along Rim Road west of where 240 heads north to Wall is a big prairie dog community. You can get brochures that will tell you exactly where it and other ones are. It is just off to the north side of the road and I think in places it crosses the road. There are places in the Badlands you can take two track roads. They are more in the SW areas of the park. Look for Sheep Mountain Table Rd. south of Scenic, SD. There are other two tracks throughout the park. Check with the rangers for driveability.
In the Rushmore area, don't forget to check out Crazy horse.
I plotted the 240 loop for the Badlands, and also added Sheep Mountain Table rd as destination H so you can see where it is.

We may or may not do Crazy Horse. The injuns are charging crazy money to get in to that.

iTunes itself is a free download, just download it from Apple.
To move your music and other documents I would use an external hard drive or burn CDs.
EDIT: external hard drives are mostly USB

If you have an Ethernet port you can set up a network with the two computers. You will need help. I don't know Windoze networking so I can't give you steps.

Is there ever a time when there isn't snow up on the Beartooth? Might not be enough for glaciation on Beartooth anymore, but there are still some small ones in the area. There are a couple glacier cirque bowls along the highway.
I drove over it in late September and they had the big snow blowers up there idling. The pass was closed the next day due to snow. I got to watch the sunset from up top, but I stayed in the car. The wind was just to strong to stand outside.

Do you have an IR port? You could beam it to another computer via file sharing. Or share you hard drive with your home network.

I wonder if I can reformat my external hard drive? When I plugged it into the Mac it gave me the option to backup specific files or backup the entire drive. I picked entire drive, but in retrospect I would prefer to just backup specific files or folders, like all our photos.

I will investigate that. It seems like it would not make sense to fix this one since it is now three years old. Thanks.

Yes, for the most part dogs (pets in general) are seriously discouraged. With dogs it's due to the wolves. Wolves will kill a dog and don't try to get between them. Dogs are not allowed on any trails and must be kept on a leash. They have all the rules/restrictions on their web site. Actually almost all the brochures they have are on the website.

It does not always come down to the road that late in the season. Then again other times it is worse. One year in late June I was driving across and the road was like a snow tunnel. I was driving the dog van and the snow was higher than the van. It kinda freaked me out.

I never had any luck finding one of those locally, but when I did the knuckle swap, the joint came off the steering arm fine with a pickle fork
