Did someone mention Swedish Mausers? I just happen to have two here at the cabin in BFE. Both are sporterized. One is scoped and the other is a brush gun with Lyman peep sight. I present:

If it were me, this is what I would do. Make a small box with removable sides with IR lamps on them. Put the bike in, heat everything up. Take the sides off, spray onto the warm metal, put the sides back on.
I don't know much about painting, but it seems to be the best route.
