It's mostly just a layout tool. You can do minimal stuff -- like re-sizing. So you should have your images already edited before you drop them into an InDesign doc.

That's what I was thinking from reading the blurbs on it. Sounds like InDesign would be a nice add on to make more complex fliers easier to do. What are you using for photo editing right now? Could you continue to use it and use InDesign or a program like it to roll them into fliers?

Ideally, one should have both Photoshop and InDesign, for print work.

If you're just getting Photoshop, and money isn't an issue - CS4 all the way.

I was using Microsoft picture it/paint/. Then I would send it to the printers. They had to clean it up but really liked my work... YAY! We got new computers and Steve wants to have me do it all here. I have photoshop at home on my XP puter but these and my new laptop are all Vista. I just want to get the right program for what I need here in the office.

For your daily water intake it doesn't have to be water. Even coffee will do. Coffee just has caffeine which makes it only marginally less effective, but it's still effective. Even a heavily loaded juice like V8 will do for part of your water intake for the day. The **** about it having to be plain water was made up by a doc who only went on anecdotal evidence. Research has show it not to be necessary.

CS4 in Adobe terms is the revision level. So you would get Photoshop CS4 and InDesign CS4 both. At B&H Photo Video they are just under $700 each. I have the Windows version linked.
