if you work for the state, that is your only option
you should come to Louisiana - we know PPO and have a $1500 upfront preventative health services account (meaning, any routine/yearly exams up to $1500 are automatically covered at 100%)

we drove by the Nissan plant close to Jackson, AL on the move to BTR (in fact, stayed in Jackson overnight); HUGE plant area - and Nissan seems to be a popular brand around here

I am SO glad I don't have to deal with rental tenants any more. What a PITA.
|
Now they are trying to say that the lease ended on Dec 1, which it did. However, there is a clause that says it goes to a month to month agreement(with the same monetary terms) if no other agreement has been made. But they still have to give notice. Which they did not. I am going to get some contractors to give me bids to fix some stuff that we will do ourselves. I WILL end up with all of their money as far as I am concerned. I still have a minimum of $500 of stuff to fix/clean and since I can't rent it this month, I am still going to lose money
The upside is we probably have a new tenant already

Seriously though, at this rate, I may as well be paying Finnish taxes. I might even wind up ahead doing that. And, at least I'd get the best public education in the world and 8 years of paid college tuition for any future kids I might have out of the deal, too!
And, you know what the really shitty part is, Sean? Of all the money people spend on healthcare in this country, barely HALF of it goes to pay you and your fellow healthcare providers for your services. We spend 16% of our GDP on healthcare. More than any other nation in the world. Practically double most countries with Universal care. And, we're 29th in the world for infant mortality, 48th in life expectancy, and 19 out of 19 industrialized nations measured for preventable disease rate. 75% of what we spend on healthcare goes to pay for chronic, preventable disease that wasn't managed earlier. For profit health insurance is massively failing. Think what it might be like if that wasted 50% that never sees the inside of you bank account anyway could be reduced, to say 10% You'd take no hit in pay, and there'd be another $1.2 TRILLION that would find it's way into other sectors of the economy rather than paying insurance companies to mismanage our healthcare, to fuck over patients, and fuck over doctors.

Bright one. I talked to the tow truck driver. Nobody to tow in our lot so he moved elsewhere.
