I am home. What a waste of time. Knew the diagnosis, could have done the whole thing over the phone. Now I can bill Medicaid I guess and get paid like $50.

That's where I can see Jman in a few years. He can do his editing gig from anywhere in the world. Once the kids are in college, he could move someplace and still do his job by telecommuting -- just travel to NYC once or twice a month. The rest of the time, he could live in the country a couple miles from the New Glarus Brewery or something...

My consolation prize for the late night drive to the hospital in a snowstorm? I stopped at Beef-A-Roo on the way home. They were closed.
I have two more milk crates.

The problem, I find, is that I'm extremely interested in something for a short while, and then I jump to another area of interest. I tend to circle back around every now and again, but it's fairly unpredictable and sometimes short lived. It takes some effort to connect the dots and come up with a viable path that should keep me interested despite whatever I currently seem to naturally focus on and enjoy doing.
Such is the case with ADD people, I suppose. The upside is that I'm ridiculously productive at whatever it is I'm focusing on doing. The downside is that sometimes it's nothing productive

Does he have heated gear? Even down south, I'd invest in it if I were going to ride this time of year.

I doubt it. I wouldn't bother in Houston, that's tropical.

So I actually believe the stories now about how when one parent is absent for a bit, there is a personality shift in their child. Cubedottir2 was a very fussy baby and could only be comforted by Mrs. Cube. After Mrs. Cube's trip a couple weeks ago when I was it, she's now weened and is a totally different kid; perfectly content to have me do her bath and bedtime, much more independent and the screaming almost nonexistent

Apple got pwnt.
Apple: Who Believes Our Ads Anyway? - Company responds to iPhone 3G speed false advertising suit... - dslreports.com
Quote:
Apple has been taking heat over global advertisements that show the iPhone 3G performing at speeds vastly faster than real world 3G (or 2G) networks operate. Two such ads were recently banned in the UK, to which Apple responded that the ads were "relative rather than absolute in nature." Here in the States, one 70-year-old San Diego resident filed suit against Apple for misleading advertising. Techdirt directs our attention to the fact that Apple this week responded to the suit, denying that the ads lie, but then adding this comment:
"Plaintiff's claims, and those of the purported class, are barred by the fact that the alleged deceptive statements were such that no reasonable person in Plaintiff's position could have reasonably relied on or misunderstood Apple's statements as claims of fact," Apple said in its answer.
In other words, we're not lying, but you're an idiot if you believed what we were saying. Of course there's a fairly obvious chasm (see video comparison) between the ads and real-world performance. Apple faces five lawsuits related to the performance (or lack thereof) of the iPhone when connected to networks in the real world, but the attorney for this false advertising case thinks their case "has the most teeth and the most legs to it."
