Did you ever think about Federal Air Marshals Service?
I think that would be sweet. You get to fly around, but you get to skip security at the airport... You fly on whichever seat is not booked, which may even be first or business class.
And, you generally don't have to deal with tweakers, unpredictable Domestics... in fact, you may go years without really having to do anything other than sitting around on planes catching up on that mile long list of books you've been meaning to read, but haven't had time to since you got out of college...

Ditto.
Really ditto.
Ditto.
Ditto.
The problem, I find, is that I'm extremely interested in something for a short while, and then I jump to another area of interest. I tend to circle back around every now and again, but it's fairly unpredictable and sometimes short lived. It takes some effort to connect the dots and come up with a viable path that should keep me interested despite whatever I currently seem to naturally focus on and enjoy doing.
Such is the case with ADD people, I suppose. The upside is that I'm ridiculously productive at whatever it is I'm focusing on doing. The downside is that sometimes it's nothing productive

I don't think I need another full size one.
I thought about putting one in the center console of the Cruiser but I carry a pretty full complement of real tools in there always, so I don't need it there. I also have a real toolbox in the office and in my ManRoom.
I always carry the Buck™Tool on the weekend and when fishing, hunting, etc.
The Skeletool is really cool though.

He was still alive when his buddies got to him, but claimed that it was unintentional. One has to wonder though.

Yep. My group at work did some personality profiling recently and that feedback was consistent too. I would be really good at doing business research...2-4 week assignments to dig up as much info as possible about a particular business, industry or company, write a report, make recommendations. I have the skillz and interest. At least for now

Please move next door. I'll be over every Friday.
Glad you enjoy what you do. A friend is an MT, but recently moved her business to a new location, so it's kind of inconvenient. Nothing worse than having to travel afterward through city traffic. Sort of undoes all the good work.

One of the reasons I enjoy my job is that every day or so it's a new author, a new topic. Same old assholes in the office, though.

I remember one of those they made us take in school. My results? "Inconclusive."

Yeah, that's just insane. Canada! You'll be in a city, so you'll get decent care.

I agree. I hate to drive far after a massage. I do love it and I am very good at it. Weird how that happens.

My brother was born in Montreal at Royal Victoria (McGill's teaching Hospital.) He needed emergency surgery after birth, and was in ICU for a month. Probably would have cost $300K or something like that at a US hospital today if that happened. My dad was just starting his non-military career, and was still pretty junior at his firm. If they had been in the US, and had insurance like my company is peddling, it could have wiped my parents out at that point in their lives.
They did get a bill from the hospital though -- $12 for a few long distance phone calls made from my mother's hospital room.

We traveled to Canada with out first child at age 9 months, and she spiked a 105 fever. We took her to a clinic, saw a doctor, got some meds, and I went to go pay for it all. They were all I said I wasn't a citizen, they said it didn't matter.

But I really need to start moving forward doing something I enjoy for a living. It struck me that as far back as 2nd grade I received consistent feedback from my teachers similar to: "Cube Dweller is bright, but easily bored and distracted." I find it incredibly difficult to force myself to really mentally engage. It's not task driven work; it requires me to take the initiative to make progress. And that's tough for me. I envy people that can force themselves to actively care.

"You seem detatched..."
