hell, it's her own damn fault:
when she was in the women's clinic with me, one day the nurses brought the wrong baby - I was apparently brought to another mother for nursing, and my mother was given a boy
(in those days, the babies were kept in a separate ward and brought for feeding on a rigid schedule)
and there is some rumor that it was actually a three-way switch-up, but anyway, the only one who felt suspicious was my mother, she called for the nurses to check, and sure enough.......
they took a pic with three mothers and their babies, which I guess every one of them still has
the funniest thing is: the guy later went on to the same university I did studying biology (as I did), got a Diploma in molecular biology, got his PhD at the same institute I did
and now you tell me this was all genetic ?
whose milk you drink.......

BTW, the mother of the boy I got switched with eventually became a painter
one of her originals hangs in my mother's dining room
it's not a bad aquarell at all (in fact, I could see myself hanging it in my own house), but this is just too small town for me

change is good
it's when you don't change, that death is near
there were few changes in my life I didn't like - I got over them

like the old American roadship stranded on the shoulder of some rural highway in AZ or CA (forgot where exactly, but Michael likely remembers)
hood way up towards us, and as we drive by, we see legs dangling in the front, from a guy hanging way over into the engine compartment, and the most prominent thing turned towards us was his butt crack
I'm telling you, that's burned into my memory
