I'm much more reserved in my riding than some folks would be, but with the ST1100 under me, it's a waste of the fifth gear and power to not run at 85 or so on the slab. The value of the GS to me is that it will do the comfortable cruising on the slab but will be much more suited to a reasonable 65-70 mph. And those standard BMW 1200 mile iron-butt days.

This intimidated my X. She hated it. She felt that during conversation it should be one at a time, until they finished, then another, and so on....
She never adapted to the idea that conversation, thoughts, and opinions could just fly around with everyone knowing where they were at at all times....

his mother was a teacher, she would make sure everyone got their time to finish what they were saying and that nobody would get interrupted
my mind was usually bored already three sentences into what she was saying  but everyone in that family would get all pissy if they couldn't control how the conversation was run

Paige thinks it should be Black and Silver like the Raiders.
I think a killer blue and white with the original interior redone in white tuck-n-roll...
Zoe isnt sure, but thinks it needs Old Skool pin stripes....

Disagree. I have worked on a bunch of those cars and find them simple to work on. American cars didnt become a pain to wrench on until the 70s sometime....
