Have you had to have metallic foreign bodies removed from your eyes in the past? Usually getting metal shavings in there is pretty uncomfortable and you'd know it.

Do you do a lot of grinding without eye protection?

You can usually get a simple xray that will find any metal.

Also metal fragments are usually pretty shallow if they get embedded, so an ophthalmologist could see them with a simple exam.

If you really really need an MRI I'd get examined and get a simple xray to look for metal and then not worry about it.

Yeah you don't want to put your daily driver at risk with heavy duty wheeling. I won't take my 100 on extreme stuff, I need it to be functional.

I don't see a reason why not to get a 60 for the wheeling trips only. They are cheap now and also not expensive to maintain, especially if you don't drive them much, can tow your camper trailer, and can carry all the stuff you need to bring your kids along. And saves your FJC for daily driving duties. Sounds like a win win to me.

I was going to take my pickup and my mom was going to go with me to help... Michelle got involved and now it's morphed into taking the 80 and dragging an empty trailer up there, moving her, and dragging an empty trailer home. The pickup gets 22 mpg, the LC maybe 14 pulling the trailer. I don't have the trailer ready, don't know if the LC needs a oil change, didn't check tires etc. I have at least an hour of pre-road trip checks to make.

This was all last minute. I found out that I was going up there just yesterday.

I have no problem with it but it's getting to be more of a pain in the ass as the minutes tick by. Instead of packing a duffel bag for me, now it's full on suit cases for the boys and Michelle, getting my parents dog over and my brother to dog sit. I'm sure there's a shitload I'm forgetting.

Our step dad is flying up after work on Friday. His bio-son is picking him up from the airport and bringing him to my sis's place and we're bringing him home.

I don't fucking know. I guess I'll just take it one step at a time. :fuck:
