Extreme apple juice intolerace
Serious, wtfbiscuit.
I need some of the Mud-MDs to explain this one to me.
I really like apple juice (alot, like alot alot) but I mostly don't drink it because it gives me incredible stomach pain. Like stomach spasm, keeled over on the floor oh-my-god-make-it-stop kind of pain. The pain usually builds for like 5-10 minutes and then subsides over another 5-10 minutes. Generally about 10oz is what I drink when I really regret it, but as little as 3oz or so can give me problems. No other digestive problems seem to result from it, only fairly brief and pretty intense pain, and then it's over.
It can't be fructose intolerance because I can drink and eat things with high-fructose corn syrup (etc) with no problem. It seems fairly unlikely that it's citric acid intolerance since I can eat all kinds of citrus with no problems and easily tolerate other juices like OJ, grape juice, grapefruit juice, etc. I can eat apples, applesauce, etc without issue. It's just the juice, doesn't matter what kind (Motts from concentrate, Martinelli's filtered and unfiltered, etc) as long as it comes from an apple.
Wtf gives? Has anyone else experienced this?

Is that consistent? I've had that happen a couple times, but not from cider or apples, only apple juice. Not sure if there's some preservative, or just some odd combination.

I have the same problem but not severe. I get stomach aches from apple juice. I'm also interested why. What's its ph balance? Maybe it doesn't like our stomachs.

Apple juice is really acidic. Do other acidic foods or beverages cause similar discomfort? If so, lay off for a while. If it continues see a doctor.

my friends daughter who is 5 i think, has insane apple allergys. he said the apple seeds contain trace amounts of a common poision. but in regular people, not freaks like you,  have a very bad reaction to it. the poision is derived from the seeds. this may explain why you can eat an apple but since the juice is all of the apple smashed down, your gettin the seed juice. i bet you can talk wob into havin him send you a bottle of his own seed juice.
i think the name is strictnine or somthin...

Cool fact, now I know I can die from apple seeds. I wonder if there is a phobia for that?

Buy a bunch of apples. Eat one. If you don't get sick from it- make the rest into juice with a juicer. Drink it. If you still get sick... I have no freaking clue.

Not that this will help you, but I used to get the same reaction to Coors or Coors Light. No other beer, just those two (this was back when there weren't 683 kinds of mass produced beer). Now it doesn't bother me. Go figure.

Most apple juice is made from apple concentrate from China. It's laced with toxins; nothing from China is safe to eat. Drink it at your peril. Feed it to your kids and it reduces their reproductive fitness.
