which reminds me I need to get a picture of that side stand assembly and see if it's what you want.
It came off a trail 70 I think.

I already hit him up for this once...I guess its not really an 'image'...makes it more difficult. I'm sure its within the realm of his interweb wizardry though if he put his mind to it.

Forgot later models have the trip odo knob. For mine, the flange was very minor, and the material was spongy enough that it didn't really need one. You could get the same results by, say, putting a couple rubber bands under the gasket to prevent the unit from sliding all the way in.
Can you tell I've hillbilly-rigged a lot of crap in my life.

Yes I know, it's not an image now. He should be able to automagically convert it to an image though...

I messed with a Smith 625JM last night. Didn't get to shoot it. It goes for about $50 more than the standard 625. It shoots .45ACP with moon clips.
Very
The thing is beefy.
I really don't like the badging, but I sure do like the feel. I like the sights. It points very naturally. The finish looks good, and there's something really sweet about that big heavy cylinder.
I hadn't considered buying a .45ACP revolver. Ammo would be more than .38's through a .357. And its bigger, tougher to carry, and its more 'fancy' than the standard 686 I was looking at.

I'm just gonna not fuck with mine. It seals good enough for now and if I try to take it out I'm sure it will get torn up.
I need to figure out a sealing grommet for the headlight bucket hole where the wires go through - it's a big gaping hole right now. Also will put a plug in the hole where that stupid toggle switch was installed...

It can depend greatly on the academy. I attended the sheriff's academy in Fort Bend County and only had to pay a few hundred dollars. There are also academy programs that are more "commercial" and are found at community colleges. Those can cost into the four digits and the upside is that you get college credit for it. For some folks, that can push them into an associates and a lot of departments like that.
