If I was buying a video camera now (I might be actually) I'd probably get a hard drive one. I really like the idea of the Flip camera except that it uses a stupid format that is a PITA on the Mac.

Yup. Whenever these choices come up, I always find myself torn between formats. It's VHS vs. Beta all over again--choose wisely!
Call out to tech companies: give us a hard drive vid camera that meshes well with the Mac! For under $300!

Sean, you can't rifle hunt deer in Iowa. It's shotgub only. It is lawful to use rifled barrels in a shotgub though. It's a peculiarity of Iowa hunting law.

and parts of Minnesota, think there's a few other "flat" states too
where my parents live in Minnesota it's shotgub only.
up north, you can use a rifle.

shotgub seems to be dangerous enough there, there always was some idiot shooting some farmer or something.
my cousins husbands brother got hit with a slug when his party all shot at a deer and it ricocheted off the ribs or some bone. think it came close to killing him
the idea of "pushing" deer through cornfields never appealed to me much.

nearly impossible. Average transit time is 24 hours. You can get that down to 8 maybe.
One hour flatulence is almost for sure from an earlier meal. However there is a reflex, the gastrocolic reflex, that causes your colon to start pushing stuff out right after you eat. This is why dogs always want to go out right after they eat. So you could say that one hour flatulence was stimulated by that last meal.

It's all in what you get used to. I like Iowa deer hunting. As opposed to sitting in a deer stand and waiting . . . and waiting . . .

I wasn't talking about deer.
He said he wanted to buy a rifle and a shotgub. I thought he said he wanted a varmint rifle. He also recently had a lion on his property that his neighbor shot.
If it was me I'd get a .22 and a .308...

My 7mm Rem. Mag. is a Savage. That thing is more accurate and easier in the shoulder than my dad's Remington model 700 in the same caliber.

I was probably thinking too much "varmint rifle" as in .22-250, big, heavy, accurate thing with a pig ass scope for taking out prairie dogs for sport and bogo really meant "mofer rifle" for dispatching farm vermin.

I have ample anecdotal evidence from me and family members that signature post-meal flatulence commonly arrives a couple hours after a meal. You do not want to me near me if I've had a bad cut of beef. And there is an indian dish with chick peas that does the same thing. The two causes have distinct smells.
I wonder if this could be tested next TUTaP? At semlin's house.
