Ooh I didn't see the pool.
That raises the price to about $225,000 around here.

[TEAKETTLE]
We found the hooked cutter to be a shot in the dark, especially with the different formulations of the plastic. Some are too soft to snap off properly.
Best bet is a special blade for the skill saw for straight cuts... there is one made for plex that has a lot of carbide teeth or a GOOD plywood blade... for all straight cuts. You also could take a fairly high tooth count carbide tooth blade and turn the blade backwards in the saw. This gives a nice smooth cut but is slow as molasses.
Curved cuts require the use of a band saw or a GOOD jig saw... I forget the tooth count on the band saw but if you are cutting with a jig saw then use a good bi-metal blade that is good for cutting wood, aluminum etc... Bosch labels theirs a T-101 (IIRC).
Best to lay the plex down on top of Styrofoam sheet and let the blade barely cut into the foam thru the foam... this keeps the plex from welding itself back together behind the cut.
For straight cuts you can polish the edges by lightly belt sanding and then using a propane torch run along the cut slowly until the plex clears and loses its frosted look. This must be done carefully.
[/TEAKETTLE]
Edited for accuracy:
T101BF Bosch - 4in., 10TPI, Bi-Metal Jigsaw Blade (5 pack) - is the blade that works best.... only fits Bosch jig saws (best ones on the market). But there are other blades with about the same tooth set and count. I am pretty sure we used 10 or 12 teeth an inch for the band saw too and we used a blade that cuts aluminum.

I realize that you are not talking sheets (re: plex) but that is the procedure for cutting flat plex which I thought might be helpful if Mars was going to cover the pergola.

My 4800 square foot home on an acre at the edge of town on all city services would list for sale at the same price as the home Cube is looking at.
Appraised value for taxes here is about half of that.

Hmmm, our "appraised value for taxes" is about 30% over what we paid 18 years ago and probably very close to what we could sell for . . .
Your taxing authority is apparently very lenient.

Not lenient, just different. The taxable values are way way out of line with the market values but the rates are higher. It's pretty stupid and based on some laws that limit how much the taxable valuation can go up each year. The taxable valuation of the Witch Lake property is about 25% what we paid for it.

Well, there is no free lunch. We have pretty high property tax rates and values. Remember, there is no state income tax here and they're gonna get their money somehow . . . There's about eight different taxing authorities, each with a different tax rate on our home, each taking a bite.

did you have good luck with your Nissan?
I bought a used 4x4 Hardbody, the motor blew out around 90,000miles. Mine was a 4 banger. Good truck but not a Toyota. the transmission blew out on it too, though when I bottomed it out hard going through a mud hole that might have helped that along
