Felix, you know that you can already run Windows, right? You just have to pick which OS (OSX or Windows) to boot. Fusion does have the nice feature of not having to reboot. It is a good deal for $80.

- better video card (I'm not a gamer)
- bigger screen (I don't mind small)

Am I missing anything? Is all that really worth the extra several hundred dollars? I'm going to upgrade to 4gigs of RAM, but I have to pay for that with either one.

Also, I know that anything will be obsolete within minutes anyway, but is now a particularly BAD time to buy a macbook for any reason?

Thanks
I have both. My MacBook is one of the new Penryn boxes and my MacBookPro is about a year old. Both are outstanding machines, but I'd have to say the MacBook was the better value. Upgrade the memory and you're good.

EDIT: I just noticed you already made your purchase. Enjoy your new Mac!

Yeah, it came down primarily to screen size. It's going to be our main household computer, and my wife thought the smaller screen would start to drive her crazy. I don't want to hassle with hooking up an external monitor, keyboard, and mouse. If I'd gone alone, I would have walked out with a Macbook.
