WTF?  Who the fuck is "they"? The two swimmers you mention weren't "given" anything. They each raced their races and earned their times based upon the cold, unthinking electronic clock. The fact that they each wound up (in different events) on different sides of the .01 second differential has nothing to do with any "they" other than they themselves and one particular other swimmer in each instance.

I picked up a boombox for the garage as well, just clip the receiver from the truck in and go
