Day packing only.  My ankles can't take day after day of hiking.   Real bummer as I did it allot as a kid and really liked it. I've been thinking of doing a slow hiking trip some year. Breakup the day with lots of stops for photographing.

No. My trip plans are all suggestions. The Yellowstone trips are odd in that I actually have a set set of dates to be in Yellowstone. I'm meeting some friends from DPReview for a photography meet and greet.

I packed a lot when I was young. I feel it in my hips and knees now. To many miles with to heavy of loads I think.
I've been reading up on ultra light backpacking. I think it could be an option.

They were close, if they did not get it. Edit: Bronze for the beaners.
