you would think I guess there was much less vigilance about privacy in Omaha since everybody there minds everybody's business in real life just as well and for the longest time, they didn't even mind

yeah, at least after HIPAA they lock the patient records away overnight in those areas that are publicly accessible because contiguous with the hospital
now if they would only learn to stop asking IN the public waiting room whether or not you had breast implants before they check you in for a mammogram
even if I personally do not mind (I obviously don't have implants ), it's just none of anybody's fucking business, particularly not for 30 people (males and females) in a waiting room
those are the kind of violations I am talking about.....

Nick's BMW recommendation duly noted.

Mary is such a sweetie, I wasn't at all upset that she repeatedly whipped us at Uno. I hope this ATV incident doesn't make her afraid to try things. Dottir1 became so adept on that thing, I would hate to see #2 think that she is not capable.

will it be easier for me to keep my mouth shut at the committee meeting if I have lunch before or no lunch

She simply was not strong enough to steer it. Shifting was hard for her too.
I'm trying to figure out how to remedy the potential problem you point out. I think I can probably sit behind her on the ST90 and teach her to ride it, giving her more freedom to make decisions as she improves...

Warning: this link takes you to a "funny wake" GIS related photograph, featuring a "hand bra." NSFW, 35%, but pretty darn hot. In a creepy clown-sex kinda way.

She is. She's a wonderful kid. I think the fact that she was so upset over "breaking" the ATV only illustrates that fact. It seems to me that a lot of kids I've met wouldn't think twice about it if they had an accident and damaged someone else's property. The fact that Mary did speaks volumes about her character and the way she was raised.

Probably a habit he developed over the years from repeatedly having to tell people the same shit over and over for them to get it right.

Maybe look for a smaller ATV that she could handle better? Kids outgrow them fast, there are always a few in the classifieds here. I think the one our neighbor has comes with an adjustable governer.
