The ankle did not keep me back, it was actually my lack of fitness. And in DD's defense, he was the most busted up by repeatedly saying hello to Witch Lake for two straight days. He deserves the True Grit award for this year's Summer TUTalympics. Besides, I think he bested us in guns and dirtbikes.

Ont he run, Hugh and Yooper were very compassionate in lagging back long enough for us to see them before they dashed into the next patch of raspberry bushes and thistle.
+1 on DD's testicular fortitude. He was pretty bruised up and sore and he ate twice as many pancakes and bacon as I did...

We all have shin scratches from the brambles.

I knew you would respond like that and I understand your perspective

however, in places that had little in place to protect privacy, it has made a huge impact, including structural renovations, and extensive training (which I am a victim of myself ) - you should have seen the Nebraska Medical Center operate before HIPAA came into place - they chatted your medical condition up with the press when they felt like it and of course, with anybody else

I still keep running into blatant HIPAA violations as a patient several years after the act came into being I typically don't go back to those places

exactly, read the stuff yourself

the receptionist just wants to keep the peace and I don't blame them

The problem I've had is getting the dog to trust you to throw after he starts running, because a frisbee dog has to start running before you let go.

Don't ever fake him out in a way that he thinks you're fucking with him or he won't trust you to throw; he'll sit until he sees it leave your hand and he'll never catch up to the frisbee.

Yes, that's the kind. What would be really great would be a split grip that attached to a regular rope--anyone who wants to single ski adds the grip; someone who wants the comfort of a single bar detaches the split portion. I'm thinking now of a split grip with a bar attachment that connects to the grips. Do they exist?

That's why the split is so good--you keep one arm on each side of the ski and can center the pull on your ski instead of having the rope off to the side. It might actually make boarding easier, too.

Apparently poor Mary was upset all night Sunday night. I should have called her right after I talked to you about it. I explained things to her as soon as I got home. In the end I think it will be a good little life lesson for her; it might help prevent injury or worse to remember that a crash is always possible. It was more my fault than hers; she was steering but I was in charge.

Nick's BMW recommendation duly noted.

The problem I have is getting dogs to wait for the throw, they all run out as soon as I pick the ball up.

Jake would be good a frisbe.

That is one sweet 40. So let's see, I got to drive Yooper's 40, ride Yooper's XT225, pilot Yooper's ski boat, but actually did NOT get to rub Yooper's butt, since I was too busy with the one-hand action.

The kind we had could be locked into one grip or split into two.
Simple twist lock dealio.

Yikes. I have not seen that at all in a medical setting; any institution that allows that kind of breach of security, before or after HIPAA, deserves to be sued and should fire their legal counsel.

Every place that I have worked or gone to school in medicine had HIPAA-type controls on the release of private information that met or exceeded what HIPAA mandates for decades in advance of HIPAA. It's simple medico-legal protection.

A research center that violates privacy should have it's NIH grants revoked; the NIH has mandated such protection forever...

It makes me feel better about HIPAA to hear that it has had some good effects.

As you saw, I have no real problem taking risks, whether it is with my own or with other people's shit. I am good for any and all damages, of course, but I am always in favor of expanding the envelope.

Which is why the possibility of my own motorcycle is a dangerous idea.

I hope she's still not upset. I'd gladly talk to her on the phone if it would make her feel any better. Like I siad, it's an ATV, not a Bentley -- trail damage is bound to happen. If it helps, you could always tell her about the time I damn near burnt the thing down the first time I took it out. (The battery strap broke, the battery slid out of its tray and landed on the exhaust manifold. I'm lucky Katie noticed it)

Nick's seems to be a good dealer. THe idiots in MKE are too full of themselves to be helpful. Mischler's in Beaver Dam is a good place, but they're a Harley dealer, and the BMW stuff takes second place to the amount of Harley stuff they sell. Nicks is a dedicated BMW place staffed by BMW enthusiasts who do not parade around in "BMW Motorrad" Polo shirts and Khakis like a bunch of stuck up, martini drinking gl0f course rejects who think they're better than everyone else.

That's why the split is so good--you keep one arm on each side of the ski and can center the pull on your ski instead of having the rope off to the side. It might actually make boarding easier, too.

Most two ropes, including mine, have a simple loop at the end and the handle has a short rope with a loop so you just attach loop to loop and you can change them out easily. Also you can get short extension ropes to put in between so you can lengthen the rope in ten foot increments. I've been thinking about extending the ski rope a bit to get the skier further back in the wake in some slightly smoother water, since my boat makes a funny wake.

I've tried on multiple computers, and multiple video cards. Strange.
Have you tried putting it in another room?

I always worry they will jet in front of the bike, one or both of us woud suffer if that happened.

If it helps, you could always tell her about the time I damn near burnt the thing down the first time I took it out. (The battery strap broke, the battery slid out of its tray and landed on the exhaust manifold. I'm lucky Katie noticed it)
I think she's okay now; I told her three times that you weren't upset. I am thinking of taking that bezel off and attempting to epoxy it with black epoxy, maybe with a fiberglass reinforcement on the back side. Mary will assist me and I will tell her the battery story while we are working.

I had a Husky that would do stuff like that...

That is why I was asking for tips on getting them trained to do it correctly.
