Not completely in Florida... with the law as it is and the doctor dependent upon payment from the insurance companies, IIRC their reinbursement is dependent upon them providing the information to the insurance company. Of course you can always pay outta pocket for services... but if you ever want to use the co-pay again you have to agree to provide all information in your file to the insurance company.
Of course I could be wrong but the receptionist at the doctor's office is not the one that fully understands our statutes.

HH skied again, was doing really well, decided to hot dog a bit, and had a nasty fall, tweaked his thigh and his back. It was great to get up on some skis again.
Oddly, I've been unable to find the Y-shaped tow rope online. I know this guy that taught me to ski in the 1970s used one to single-ski, he said it made it much easier to get out of the water on one ski. It was a bit of a pain for novice use, though.

Card games are okay if there isn't a lot of wind. Whixh is seldom the case in the desert or on the beach, our two favorite venues.
We always had cards, dice, checker/chess, you name it we had it or at least the travel version of it.

My first try getting up on one ski was an epic fail (this was last year). I couldn't control the ski direction well enough as I got up and it would shoot off to the side. I gave up after about 6 tries. I might try again some day. Not this year though.

My wife was startled that you let me drive the boat. She's convinced you didn't want to request piloting from Mrs. Yooper because you didn't want her to know you were skiing with your wrist still repairing.

PeeWee and Mrs. PeeWee are driving around Marquette in my mustard FJ40. I just got a text message from him that says he has decided to drive it home to Oregon.

She was watching from the beach and the next day she drove when I skied on one ski. She was concerned about my wrist but we are a non-nagging household.
Mrs. yooper doesn't like to drive the boat, it scares her a bit and she especially doesn't like to park it. I rarely get to ski into my beach because she asks me to let go out in the lake so I can get in the boat to park it.

I think they expected us to stop and chat. DD was quite damp upon his return and it took Fred to chase him out of the woods with a 4 wheeler to keep him going. I will say that he had the choice of riding and did not accept so that is worth 2 bits.
I take partial blame for any failures by not having anything to eat for breakfast before hand. Everyone else had gorged themselves on buttermilk blueberry pancakes
|
Yes, fucker, any warning beforehand would have stopped me from eating that fifth pancake, or that third slice of bacon, or that third cup of coffee. But noooooo, after eating all that, we see you arrive in your running shorts. If I had followed my instincts and puked right then and there at the sight of you in stretchy material, I might have competed better.
The ankle did not keep me back, it was actually my lack of fitness. And in DD's defense, he was the most busted up by repeatedly saying hello to Witch Lake for two straight days. He deserves the True Grit award for this year's Summer TUTalympics. Besides, I think he bested us in guns and dirtbikes.
Ont he run, Hugh and Yooper were very compassionate in lagging back long enough for us to see them before they dashed into the next patch of raspberry bushes and thistle.

I'm guessing it isn't hard to teach a dog to catch a frisbee. Jake catches the ball.

I think I may have to come to TuTP so I can skool you guys on water skiing and tubing.
All this talk of bruises and failure to ride makes me think you are all a bunch of pansies.

That was the one sparkplug I did not have "an issue" with. I think a lack of a front brake is actually in my best interest.

greetings, fuckers.
i suffered my first motorsickle-related injury this weekend at TUTap. I burned the shit out of my leg on Greg's CT90. It seems the muffler shrouds are not on that well.
Trust me, this post is fine without Pics.
Mary crashed my ATV while I was dropping monnie off at the airport. Poor girl. I showed up from Iron Mt., and Kay was getting ready to leave. THe dog, and Haley were loaded up in the Sequoia, and Mary made a bee-line for the sequoia without looking at me or saying anything. Then, they left. Sean then told me what happened (That Mary crashed it into a tree while uder his expert tutelage), and that Mary was very upset and was worried I'd be mad. She only cracked a piece of plastic up front. I told Sean to talk to her to let her know I was not in any way upset -- that much like a Cruiser, an ATV looks better when it has trail damage. I hope she's still not upset.
While I was away, katie was not feeling well. She did not water the orchids. That did not slow them down, however. In the 6 days I was gone, my bulbophyllum phalaenopsis and my sederia japonica both put out new growths. I also have a plant that is in spike! the vuylstekeara will be in bloom soon. Winter is coming early. It's already getting cool at night here. It'll be time soon to put out the orchids to see if I can induce blooming in them. It seems too early for that, but it was 38 degrees in Superior, WI on Saturday night -- maybe 40 at Witch Lake.
the day I left for TUTap, my monitor on the mac Pro stopped working. WHen I got home yesterday, I went to get a new one. The new one works fine. But the old one works, too, but only as a second monitor. It will not work as the primary monitor on any computer I own, but seems to work flawlessly as a second monitor. I've tried on multiple computers, and multiple video cards. Strange.
After picking up the new monitor, I stopped at the shop to drop off the parts I bought for the BMW in Green Bay on the way to drop Rachel off in MKE. (Sean: Should you ever decide to take the plunge on a new BMW, the people at Nick's BMW outside of Green Bay along Hwy 41 are great. Much less uppity, and tons more helpful than the stuck up douchebags at BMW of Milwaukee.) So, when I got to the shop, I decided to take the BMW out for a spin around the private road. I got myself far too used to Sean's XT. I found myself thinking the BMW was too heavy. I went around corners with my leg sticking out! On Sean's XT on Dirt, this is totally acceptable. cause it can help you from dropping the bike. You see a lot of dirt bike riders doing this. But on my BMW on pavement, it'll break your fucking leg. So, I got far too used to Sean's XT. I'm gonna have to get used to the BMW all over again. And buy an XT.
I'm off to go change oil in the BMW. (Hence the parts I bought yesterday)
I'll have more TUTap anecdotes later, as will others I'm sure as people start arriving home and start trying to make sense of the whole thing...
