As soon as I'm done rehydrating with some delicious iced tea, I think I'll have to have a Manhattan.

there is some low pressure system moving in here; I have a raging headache since about an hour ago
but the good news is I can now take Aspirin again
I got the two moles on my leg removed; the wounds built a nice crust within two days (due to lack of Aspirin for 6 weeks ), but I still have two big red spots (1cm diameter) on my leg

I haven't checked much into it; we watched some swimming today
since I am not the master of the remote and NasCar was also on, I stuck to other activities

the most satisfying accomplishment was the repair of my roll-on
I have this nifty Samsonite hard case carry-on, where a spring had come loose in the slider mechanism for the pull-up handle
I took the whole slider mechanism off the case and apart, bent the spring to its original form, inserted and secured it, lubed everything with Teflon spray, pujt it all together and it's practically like new
I had been telling myself after each trip "I really need to fix this" for like 1.5 years (and then promptly forgotten )
but now

Well fuck,
I should go to the hardware store. However, yardwork has sapped any energy I might have for additional projects.
I'll go to the hardware store, but not do the projects today. Instead I'll spend the rest of the afternoon with the girls. They start school tomorrow.
Dottir #1 will be in 2nd grade.
Dottir #2 will be starting kindergarten.
#2 is on a emotional rollercoaster of excitement and apprehension.

Korina, you should really think about this one
for those who want, camping is available/planned
and the wimpy folks (like me ) will join for the run the next day
it is not too difficult but technical enough to be a challenge
another plus: CSC has been there several times, so we will spare us the usual "oops wrong turn-off" hour at the beginning

If I come it will be a last minute deal and may be just the older girls and me.
It depends on how this teaching gig is going. I do have my syllabi done for the two different classes and the initial drafts for lectures and labs for one class done already. There were lots of inherited materials for that class. I am in the process of compiling and writing 25 new labs and lectures for the other class.
I've got 3 done.
And they are for the middle of the semester.
I tell myself I work better under pressure.

That happens to be my birthday weekend We are tentatively planning a get together on Sunday. What day is the run on?
Will also depends on if the new TPS and tranny cooler get installed in time.
Of course my job situation is also a factor. Haven't been able to spare the gas these days
But I had an interview on Friday and I have another on Tuesday.
