| Should I troubleshoot this month-old computer, or sweep out the garage?
One of these options will be much more rewarding than the other.

I'll investigate and report back with more detailed info.....
apparently, they had a family investor who wanted his/her money back, and they had just gone through a tough experience with a custom $40,000 Jeep build, and maybe they lost money on that; anyway - closed I only heard third party rumors.....

| o.k. another emissions FAIL
we got the CO down to nil on both idle and load
but we upped the HC on idle again in fact, the truck is running better than before
this shit is nerve-grating when you don't have a meter for the same read-out that the testing station uses (the cheapest of the 2-4 gas testers is $3500 ); practically, it's guesswork and a $20 check for a test (one re-test allowed)
I gave in and dumped the truck with the best shop I know in Scottsdale - it will not be cheap, but at a projected $300, I can get the cruiser smogged 10 years in a row before a meter would amortize itself
so, on Monday, their custom car guru will look at it, and if they haven't got it through emissions by mid-Tuesday, the truck would have to stay with them for 3-4 weeks until we are back - they were cool with that and won't charge me
emissions tech
