All Libraries closed on Sunday?

My local Library is closed on Sunday and only open 4hours on Saturday. I know it is mostly volunteers and all, but seems like a good day to be open IMO.

, no wonder the kids are out starting/joining gangs. The library is closed! ...(that was a joke in case you did not know).

Small city...population 47k to give you an idea.

So is this normal? What are normal library hours? Has been like this here for years and I kept thinking it was a temporary thing.

I am in a town of 10K (a little less actually). We have two libraries, the Public Library and the one at Adams State College. Our public library is open on Sunday afternoon. The ASC library is open to the public, you can get a library card there without being a student and they are also open on Sunday.

Don't get me started, Spud. The town of Simsbury tore down our only 10 year old perfectly good library to build a bigger one that cost a HUGE amount of our tax dollars... And it's never open.

So does this mean you're going to have to pay for a VHS to watch tonight?

And it's "liberry".

Well, yes I was gonna pick up some DVD's to watch through the week.

But, no I will not be paying cause' I am ever so cheap and I am in sell mode. Be needing some gas cash. I'll make it there tomorrow or next. Other things to do...I'll find something. Maybe I will peel some more tiles from the basement floor, that is always good for some "entertainment".

I got the PM, but I am on a low budget and can't really afford the gas to cruise. Well I could afford it, but I am really cheap and am planning for the future. You get the idea...

Hope it is cool...

No kidding, gas. Joe Egolf and I thought of this with out a whole lot of thought as to location. Put your thinking cap on and we will come up with a more central spot for an Autumn gathering.

Seriously, that sucks.

Can you volunteer to work the counter an hour or two to keep it open?

In our town they are paid employees. They seem to have the money to build it but not to staff it.

Screw that...It is all about me.

Actually, I don't think it is an option. Some are paid and some do volunteer. But it is a big enough building that they would need several staff on hand to open. I don't know what the deal is, but I have made the mistake several times, of showing up assuming they would be open....

I pretty much never in town on the weekend. once in a great while...like now...he he.

Too bad you just held your own DVD sale-a-thon.
