Should have left the hornets there
Well last night when I got home from work some asshat had their Chevy in my spot (apartment assigned). So I roll around front and park about one spot across from my backup, the heep
. So when I woke up I looked out and the Chevy is gone, time to put the truck back. When I go out there I notice the heep's door is broken and there's some of my junk on the tonneau. The heep was hit by thieves, I laughed my ass off. There's a couple cans of rusty spray paint and my last oil change in there, that's all. ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm still calling the bronze in a bit, I can't stand cowardly thieving bastards. Tomorrow I'll let the complex office know I filed a report about it. That crap happened way too close to my prize pig. Oh yeah, I just busted up a bunch of hornet's nests on the heep's cage two weeks ago. Damn... __________________ *Until I get a new camera all pictures will suck* 1994 Pickup 3.0, Total Chaos Caddy kit, Bilstein 9100's front/7100's rear, Centerforce Dual Friction, Red Optima, Flex-a-Lite Fan, TC Idler Arm, TC Diff Crossmember, Marlin rear bumper, fresh Toyota HG's with DOA Head Studs, Amsoil Synthetic Fluids everywhere and 33 BFG Muds. Well I filed the report, that's about it. The officer said since nothing was taken it's being reported as suspicious activity. He said they try to keep an eye on these parts since we're across the street from the projects (it's worse there, daily break-ins). Also he added they've had several calls from my complex about break-ins while the occupants are home. That's so awesome, I live on the damned bottom floor of my building.
The officer was very helpful, likes to play in the rocks too. ![]() I have a bunch of DOM tubing that I'm sitting on for shock hoops. I think I'm gona keep a 2ft .120 wall behind my couch. One in the bathroom too, gotta cover my apples. __________________ *Until I get a new camera all pictures will suck* 1994 Pickup 3.0, Total Chaos Caddy kit, Bilstein 9100's front/7100's rear, Centerforce Dual Friction, Red Optima, Flex-a-Lite Fan, TC Idler Arm, TC Diff Crossmember, Marlin rear bumper, fresh Toyota HG's with DOA Head Studs, Amsoil Synthetic Fluids everywhere and 33 BFG Muds. Harbor Freight has a small wireless battery operated infrared motion detector. You could hide one under the body of your heep pointing out to one side or the other. Usually under the passenger door, since that's the quickest access to the glove box. The detector would be attached to a magnetic base to hold it. The receiver sits inside, and it will make a loud audible tone and flash a red light when the detector trips. I'm having problems in my neighborhood, and am setting one up just like this on my FJ40.

It's easy pickings, not much I can do about that. I had a radio faceplate stolen from it 8 years ago when I got the heep. The glovebox got jacked for the faceplate, however they didn't want the rest of the radio.
I don't really think anything will come of this, just random thieves running through parking lots. Just a little irritating when you're working a side job on the weekend doing 11 hour days and that's the first thing you find in the morning. __________________ *Until I get a new camera all pictures will suck* 1994 Pickup 3.0, Total Chaos Caddy kit, Bilstein 9100's front/7100's rear, Centerforce Dual Friction, Red Optima, Flex-a-Lite Fan, TC Idler Arm, TC Diff Crossmember, Marlin rear bumper, fresh Toyota HG's with DOA Head Studs, Amsoil Synthetic Fluids everywhere and 33 BFG Muds.
