Works for about 3K of my clients.

They bitch about the price of gas, yet spend every 3rd of the month standing in line at 10 places while their SO sits in the car with the AC.

Why do stupid people hate licking stamps?

Who still licks stamps?

Let the bank pay the postage on your bills.

We have self-adhesive stamps in the UK perhaps some of the more stupid members of the population still lick those? The postal service is about to go broke. First class letter is about 65c (they "try" for next day delivery), second class (three days) is about 50c.

You can also buy your postage online and print your own envelopes with the postage on it - having wasted time on developing and marketing that no wonder the post office is going broke.

Not all of the bill recipients are set up to receive electronically. In those instances the bank cuts a check and mails it.

I pay with checks and mail them; I would completely lose track if I were to pay on-line

it is also a good way to save money - I always feel dirt poor for a week after I see those checks drop in the mailbox

and since Michael pays for half the checks in a month and also feels dirt poor for a week afterwards (different week), we really only spend moneyin the other 2 weeks of the month

We have the internet down under. We just go online to pay the bills. Heck, I even do it with my American accounts, but it's a little clumsier.

I know - I even buy stuff from Oz and pay online, all my bills are paid online etc - thats why I am amazed the post office in the UK think they are going to get people buying stamps online, most the stamp users seem to like buying stams etc, infrequent users aren't likely to bother with buying online for the 4 or 5 times a year the post stuff.

Getting a bit OT but better than worrying about the dow.

x2 hilux, you don't know what the fuck you are talking about. The only thing you have ever invested in is a handful of pieces of shit junkers that you can't even get running and a happy meal. What would happen to you, right now, if for whatever reason you couldn't go to work tomorrow? People are talking about securing their future, and you're talking about paying cash on the barrel for someone else's retread tires.

Hilux, really, that's fucking ridiculous. Get a checking account and an American Express. You have no alternative but to pay off the balance every month.

Yep, but he's rich.

He has the cool breeze of an open boxcar in his hair. Mulligan stew. A drink of Sneaky Pete. Twisting a dream. His only concern is greasing the track.

He's still a hobo though.

Great time to be buying into the markets - ride it down.

We are back where we were in July of '06
