I always thought that after "ground zero" ... the next place you didn't want to be is downwind of "ground zero"... nuclear weapons - strategic or tactical - are the very last option that should be taken.

Definately the US needs a bigger army and more weapons to do this...We have seen this in history when CIA was running secret war in Cambodia which ended up dragging that country in an all-out war.

I understand the end result, but still not the "why". There is nothing happening over there now that is worth more American lives.
