I don't believe Obama when he says he supports the Second Amendment. His previous statements and actions run contrary to his current "stance". The Second Amendment is my main litmus test for a politician. It tells a lot about how they view individual rights and tolerance of ALL groups not just the politically correct. In this, Obama fails. Aside from all the other issues I have with Obama, this alone is enough for me to give him a thumbs down. As for McCain, he came to Oregon and helped jam gun control down our throats. The "gunshow loophole" ballot initiative he helped push also had a gun registry in it. I voted for Ron Paul, and will probably vote Libertarian this fall or write in Ron Paul, because McCain also fails my litmus test.
