I don't believe Obama when he says he supports the Second Amendment. His previous statements and actions run contrary to his current "stance". The Second Amendment is my main litmus test for a politician. It tells a lot about how they view individual rights and tolerance of ALL groups not just the politically correct. In this, Obama fails. Aside from all the other issues I have with Obama, this alone is enough for me to give him a thumbs down. And I'm going to try to get some last minute gub purchases before he takes office (assuming he wins). In fact, I just did: http://forum.ih8mud.com/hunting-fish...ine-today.html

As for McCain, he came to Oregon and helped jam gun control down our throats. The "gunshow loophole" ballot initiative he helped push also had a gun registry in it. I voted for Ron Paul, and will probably vote Libertarian this fall or write in Ron Paul, because McCain also fails my litmus test.

This guy:

not run our party. They will not run our White House. They

I'll bet dollars to donuts he immediately jumps in bed with The Brady Campaign and VPC, but will somehow explain that they are 'concerned citizens, not lobbyists".

What do you have to say about Obama voting for the above bill? Are you going to discount it as him simply wanting his Nation of Islam sleeper cells to stay armed?

Pro-guns means pro-civil liberties?

Well, if you explain it like that, then the trashing of our civil liberties over the last 7 years makes perfect sense.
