Spammers are getting mean

In reviewing my spam filter:

I apparently look stupid, have a small penis with erection issues (to boot), need a new watch, and all of this was caught on hidden camera.

Geez...

Just some of the 160 unwanted e-mails today.

How do these SPAM messages really get to everyone? Does some asshat sit there and type in our email?

Most spammers are using email harvesting bots. These are servers running software that searches websites for unsecured email addresses. This is why many people post their email addresses with things like REMOVETHIS inserted in the address, or replaced the @ with "at". Unfortunately, the more sophisticated bot programs are wise to these deceptions.
