Driving home today I pass through a border check point and there is a fancy looking scanner and cameras every where. I roll through it the border agent want to know if I am a citizen blaaa blaa..i ask him what is the fancy gizmo? Says he cant tell me, but to guess i say it weighs your it x rays the car .. Well it scans for radiation .. Wild man

any one else do border crossing and see one of these?

my parents have a cabin just over the border. a while back they installed some weird looking tubes on either side of the us crossing. when my dad was having radiation therapy they gave him one of those radiation implants and when he went to cross the border on the weekend it triggered something and they staged a full lockdown alert. his doctors forgot to warn him but it is SOP now. the border guards were pissed.

they've been doing it for along time, just most folks didn't have any idea what it was until post 9/11. As for gettin the willies, when you see them on the freeway into San Francisco in the middle of the night.

They've been using those for years. They used to have remote mounted meters, but they have all sorts of equipment mounted over the freeways now, so they can track the type of radiation, the speed it's moving, and in what direction.

After putting this info together from numerous stations along the way, they can stage an enforcement action or follow the vehicle based on the pictures that are taken on video as you drive through the scan area.

People in this country are like sheep. They have no fricken clue what's going on right around them. All they care about is NASCAR, barbecue, and cheap beer. Kinda like what the Roman government did whenever the people were on the verge of revolting against the corruption. They held free sporting events at the colosseums and provided free food to all. Times haven't changed much, have they? People are too stupid, fat, dumb, and happy to see otherwise.

Substitute NASCAR. barbecue, and beer with anything on the following list:

Shopping
Golf
Off Roading
Car Restoration
Boating
Baseball
Football

etc...

To be fair, you can substitute any activity to cause distraction from the issues.

For instance, when Major League Baseball went on strike a few years ago the Feds stepped in fast to mediate and force arbitration. That example is a pretty fair argument that the Feds don't want anyone getting restless and focusing their time on other activities. Hockey, Football, and other sports work the same way to appease the masses.
